There are many challenges facing general practice today not least those being imposed by the continuing economic climate and the ongoing need for financial savings. In addition, services such as local enhanced services, which have been provided by practices for many years, are now under threat from private providers.
These factors are placing primary care under increasing pressure. By working collaboratively practices have the opportunity to retain and expand the services offered in primary care, allowing for delivery of high quality patient focused care to our patients in more convenient and familiar settings.
Our priorities for 2015/16:
- Integrated care closer to home – delivering services at the right time in the right place
- Development of strong localities – ensuring health services reflect the needs of local communities
- Using our resources wisely – delivering the best possible value for service users.
